I love verse novels – requesting The Red Pencil and Crossover. I would have to add Home of the Brave, Out of the Dust, Reaching for the Sun, and 42 Miles.

I didn't realize some of these were in verse! I have used Inside Out and Back Again with my 7th graders. Wonderful book!
